1. Who we are
Famous Birthdays Today ("we", "us", "the site") publishes a public archive of notable birthdays at https://famousbirthdaystoday.net. For privacy requests, contact hello@famousbirthdaystoday.net.
2. Information we collect
The site is a static publication. We do not ask visitors to create an account and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, referrer and timestamps in order to deliver the site and defend against abuse. These logs are retained for a short period.
- Aggregated analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to count page views and see which dates are popular. This data is not used to build individual profiles of visitors.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We keep it only as long as needed to handle the request.
3. Cookies and advertising
We use a small preference cookie to remember your consent choice. If advertising is enabled on the site, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with service providers that help us run the site — hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare) and, if enabled, advertising partners — and only to the extent needed for those services.
6. Retention
Server logs are retained briefly for security purposes. Emails are kept until the request is resolved and for a short period afterwards for record-keeping. Aggregate analytics are retained in non-identifying form.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information.

8. Children
The site is a general-audience reference publication and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our hosting and delivery providers operate globally, so request data may be processed outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
